About Me

Hello! My name is Sarah Taylor.  I am a hard working wife and mother of two beautiful daughters.  I live on Bainbridge Island and spend my free time listening to music, hiking on the beach, walking my dog, doing home improvements and playing with my husband and children.  I spent a year living in Australia, while my husband completed a teaching exchange, trying to figure out my next career move.  I was lucky enough to get part time work as a substitute teacher’s aide.  I had no idea the profound influence that this work would have on me.  I was immediately inspired.  I felt an enthusiasm I had not felt in years. Through this experience I became very aware that I had a passion for working with children.  When I returned from Australia I quickly realized that I wanted to teach young children.  I was accepted into the Masters of Arts in Teaching program at Seattle Pacific University where I am seeking and endorsement in Elementary Education.  I am thrilled for this opportunity to be involved with and inspired by young children. I am looking forward to learning, growing and recognizing my strengths as a person and as a teacher through this journey into the minds, hearts and lives of youth today.

  1. Sarah,
I was unable to comment on a single article. Is there a setting that would help make this happen? I looked directly under your post and there is not a comment section.
